Our Tour Participants Are The Greatest
Thanks to all who join us for our bicycle tours each summer. Here are some comments you have sent our way.
Being the oldest and least experienced cyclists in the group, we probably gave you people cause for concern before it began. But we made it through, we always felt you would be there for us in the event we needed you. You succeeded in creating a very warm, outgoing, and caring atmosphere which we will remember for a long time.
Everything operated like clockwork. Everyone connected with ACC did everything to make the trip enjoyable. I do enjoy the flexibility that is a characteristic of ACC tours. Great crew. Throughly enjoyed all aspects of the tour.
I loved it. It was one of the greatest experiences I had. The people were so friendly! You did a wonderful job to organize this tour!!

This is our third tour with Atlantic Canada Cycling. We are excited and looking forward to another great vacation.
Gary, thank you so much for your assistance to me during the Gaspé tour 2019. The scenery was so spectacular. It was a mind blowing, often emotional, journey for me in Québec. I should mention Ed & Jason as well. You all have such a great passion for cycle touring that added to my enjoyment immensely.

Overall. I think that if you have an open mind for such a trip, that only good things can really be said. There is nothing negative that stands out in my mind of any consequence - I am very appreciative of the great time I had and hope to repeat in the future!

Beautiful landscapes, good exercise, and meeting nice like-minded people. Cape Breton blew my expectations away with the landscape and elevation. Very fun, beautiful and GREAT exercise.

I liked the relaxed attitude and lack of rules and structure. This made the trip very relaxing. Overall the positives far outway anything negative or critical I could say. Well done! It was fun.
My time on your biking expedition in Newfoundland was a life changing experience. I still remain friends with people I met on that trip. You have given so many a huge gift by organizing and helping all of us enjoy such incredible experience.
You started with the incredible Gros Morne and ended with the remarkable Viking Village. Everything in between - the coves, moose, fox, ferry rides, ice bergs - was terrific!
I did not know anyone when arriving, but felt like a friend immediately.
It's been years since I participated in the ACC Cape Breton tour, but I look back at it fondly.

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the tour this year. Just what I needed! I am looking forward to doing another one next year..
I could not decide between PEI and Cape Breton so decided to do both. I knew PEI would also help me train for Cape Breton as I did not have much time to prepare beforehand.. Thank you for the trip(s) of a lifetime.
I thought it was an exceedingly well run tour. Suggestions for side trips were I thought it was an exceedingly well run tour. Suggestions for side trips were great.
Down-to-earth, nice,funny, sense of humour, knowledgeable, kind, organized, caring attitides.
You provide support at a distance. You allow riders freedom to ride and do whatever they want when they want. I very much enjoyed the whole experience, very happy that you love to do this.

The trip was a joy in many ways. Very challenging for me, but finding that I could do it was exhilarating. I’ve returned in a better place with myself and the world. Ill detour for the Newfoundland tour next year.
Thanks for a great tour - hope to do more next summer material (daily maps, route description, opportunities for food, etc) was excellent.
My expectations were to be wowed with my first time in Canada, learn more about bikecamping, and meet lots of new folks.
The Chaudiere-Appalaches Tour landscape was stunning, the campsites were beautiful, weather perfect, 2-day camping was crucial, and the organization was amazing. All the grocery stops were fantastic. Cant wait to go on another one or even repeat this one!
To some people it was a challenge and they did fine, we actually added about 15 miles (24 km) /day (but we bike a lot).
It was great. The scenery was spectacular and biking was a great way to see it. Further, as long as you were prepared to swallow your pride and take the sag wagon there was no reason why an averagely fit person couldn’t take the ride. Generally the organization gave you support but didn’t run your life.

Overall, the ACC tours offer a unique experience with lots of great biking, outstanding routes, and always a great group of fellow riders. For a few weeks when we get back home we are in great shape!
It was better than expected. Lots of support, camaraderie and amazing cycling!
The riding distances were very good, with ample time to stop for the major interest points. The description of how to prepare for the next day was good. The tour organization was excellent. The truck was always open when we needed it. The list of places to stop was good. The hints about what to explore were very good suggestions.
The campfires were good. Socialization was excellent. We meet a lot of very nice people. All in all it was a fantastic tour. The size of the group was very nice.
Good cycling, good camping and well organized logistics. I had a wonderful time. Great route, beautiful countryside. The distances were not too great leaving room for whatever individuals wanted to do during the ride. I liked the aspect that we could go at our own speed.
Just wanted to let you know what a great time I had cycling with you in PEI. This was the first time I’d gone on an organized tour. I really liked how well you thought out the itinerary, and provided us maps so we could set our own pace and alternate the route if we liked. I found some gravel roads that put my mountain bike to good use.
I like to provide somewhat for myself, so the chance to cook and camp without having to carry all my gear solo was nice. It was easy to make friends, yet have as much time alone as we wanted.
If you ever need a local recommendation Maine, Id be glad to talk with anyone about the PEI tour. Hope I will be able to go on the Newfoundland tour someday.
Mixing camping and cycling together, two of my favorite things. Much more fun than hotel hopping - plus a bakery in every little town, met some great people, made for an epic event. Thanks to Gary and crew for a unforgettable vacation, hope to see you next year.
The Newfoundland trip has a little bit of everything - hills, flats, riding along the ocean, riding in Tundra and some good hiking. Along the way we were able to catch a glimpse at whales, and even saw icebergs! Newfoundland is a remote area of Canada, and you get to experience great open spaces;, which also means limited services to some extent. There is never a day without something along the way, but you definitely realize that you are removed from the congested city life. The trip is well planned out, and the cycling nicely spread out over the ten days. The longest day of the trip is not overly challenging - unless Mother Nature has her way. Last year we ended up having our worst weather day on our longest day, which meant colder weather than expected, and some tough head winds - but it is all part of experiencing Newfoundland. The weather can change quickly, and we saw that first hand. I really enjoyed the trip, and would highly recommend it.

Spectacular riding and great company. I couldn't have imagined it better. Thank you for a great experience everyone. Great program and support; don't change a thing.
The first thing I would tell you about the tour is that there were cyclists of all strengths participating, from novices to experts, and I believe that everybody found the tour to be well designed, and challenging. The terrain is sometimes hilly, but the big factor is wind -- tailwinds and you’re laughing, headwinds you’re crying.
Atlantic Canada Cycling’s management style of the tour was very good -- they don’t baby you, so that you feel like you’re accomplishing the tour on your own -- but they provide enough support that you don’t have to worry about anything but cycling and having a good time
We loved the trip. It's a real privilege to be able to see the area, travel with a group of like-minded cyclists in a thoughtfully designed tour.

Congratulations on another fine trip. The tour allowed sufficient opportunities for additional mileage. The tour gives back more than what is paid for. Looking forward to next year if I can make it.
I think the routes, the mileage, the sequence of the challenges, were all just right... At first, I was thinking the days were too short, but then I realized that not only was there plenty else to do, but there was lots of recovery time for the next challenge.
Just a note of thanks for a job well done. The scenery was beautiful, the participants friendly, the mountains challenging. Overall I had a wonderful time. I realize it must have been a large undertaking. Thanks for being a great organizer.
I know there are other cycling tour options to choose from and there is a reason people pick ACC over them. You all provide just the right amount of support and tell it like it is, which I appreciate. From the crew to the riders, everyone is there to enjoy the ride and share in a beautiful experience. I hope your future tours are successful and I hope to be back next year for another adventure. Thank you so much for providing the services to make this possible and I wish you guys all the best!
I'm always looking for ways to de-stress my life. For me, an adventure vacation is an amazing opportunity to meet people with similar interests and set life's worries aside. I kept in contact with my family but did not check my email - not even once.

It was a grand time. Loved the mix of trails and over the hills rides. Having to break-down and move camp only every other day was a real nice feature of this tour. Spectacular feeling on the road and views. Description of the trip should not lead participants to think it is all bike paths. I love paths because am very traffic adverse, but the better scenery is often the backroads over hill and dale rather than along old rail lines.
I’m looking forward to next year already. You did a wonderful job!

Excellent SAG, affordable, well organized. I'm not sure I would recommend any changes. The tours are an excellent blend of value and new experiences.

Another most excellent tour.
1. The ACC «team» worked seamlessly with all the cyclists to help with all matters on the road & at campsites.
2. The equipment provided by ACC for cooking etc was exceptional. Nice to see that all cyclists took care of everything too.
3. The food crates & coolers provided by ACC were much appreciated by all cyclists.
4. The supermarket stops each day were well thought out.The grocery bin pick-ups much appreciated by all cyclists too.
I had expectations and it worked out wonderfully. I got to ride without having to be with any other riders. I was able to just enjoy it all without worry.
Thank you all to a great 2019 cycling tour around the Gaspe Region. Such a beautiful area with fantastic people to have been on tour with. Thanks Gary to you and your crew (Ed and Jason) for making the tour relaxing, interesting and fun. Gary, it was also a pleasure cycling with you during most of the routes. Take care everyone. You did a first rate job! I am by nature a cynical person. Your people did a first rate job, and you can quote me or use me as a reference.
I did a lot of online research to do a tour on Prince Edward Island. Your tour was the most reasonably priced tour I could find. That tour was exceptional - there were 7 of us from Virginia that came up together to do the tour in 2005 and it was a wonderful experience for all of us. Since then I've returned several times to do other tours with ACC, all of them very well organized and I have many wonderful memories of touring all over the Maritimes.
We took a tour of Prince Edward Island with you that we’ll never forget. It was a highlight of our bicycling years. ..your tours were the greatest, you really planned them good!
Enjoyed the tour immensely. Met wonderful people. Realize some people like to bike on their own and with different paces, quite understandable. It was nice to chat with everyone at camp.

I have been on Gary's Cabot Trail ride sixteen times going back to 1992. I went on the Gaspe Tour two summers ago. Cape Breton is a gem.
We enjoyed our Liked the comprehensiveness of the way the tour was organized, the staff and the way the tour was supported. We had a great time, your staff is terrific, the days were well planned.
We did the Cabot Trail on rented hybrids and had no trouble with the hills. Suggest you do some hill work prior to the tour. It’s a very nice scenic tour and ACC does a great job with supporting the riders. Enjoy.

The northern peninsula of Newfoundland contains some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes I’ve ever beheld. It’s also full of moose, which are a thrill to observe. The food is fantastic (provided you ask the chef to broil or bake your fish, rather than fry it), and the cultural landscape is sparse, but interesting.
I would highly recommend this trip, and, I’m already thinking about where to go next, I’d do it again!

The route planning was fantastic. Support crew were superb. Organization of the truck and equipment was amazing. Staff knowledge of the area was really good.
Newfoundland was even more beautiful and rugged than I had imagined. Every day included a new discovery and new adventure. The crew was wonderful. They were always ready to help and made me feel safe and comfortable. Great job!
A great time cycling, a great group of people, a least one crappy rain day, good Quebec beer and food! The path back to Levi was absolutely fantastic. Seeing the mountains on the north shore and the St. Lawrence together just blew my mind.
